Privacy Policy

Our commitment to protecting your personal information and how we process Contact Us form submissions

Last updated: June 11, 2025

1. Introduction

MusicDistribution Reviews ("we", "us", "the Site") publishes editorial reviews and accepts voluntary inquiries via a Contact Us form. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we may collect from you through that form, how we use it, how long we retain it, and how to contact us if you want us to correct or delete your data. This policy is informational and does not constitute legal advice. If you need legal advice about privacy law (for example GDPR, CCPA or other local laws), consult a qualified attorney.

2. Information we collect

We collect only the information you voluntarily provide when you use the Contact Us form, which may include:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • The text of your message and optional attachments you upload

In addition, basic technical metadata may be collected automatically by our hosting provider or email service for operational, security and troubleshooting purposes (for example: IP address, timestamp, user agent and delivery logs). We do not combine Contact Us form content with unrelated marketing profiles.

3. How we use your information

We use Contact Us data only to respond to your inquiry, investigate reported issues, or handle legal and security requests. We do not use this information for marketing unless you explicitly opt in, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Legal basis (where applicable)

If you are in a jurisdiction that requires a lawful basis for processing (for example, the EU under the GDPR), our lawful bases for processing Contact Us data are:

  • Consent or communication necessary to respond to your inquiry;
  • Legitimate interest in operating the Site and preventing fraud or abuse;
  • Compliance with legal obligations where required.

5. Data retention and deletion

We retain Contact Us messages for the period necessary to respond to your inquiry and for a short period after for recordkeeping, security and legal defense purposes. As a general practice we retain Contact Us messages for up to 30 days after resolution unless retention is needed for a longer legitimate purpose (for example, to comply with a legal obligation or to defend against claims). You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data by emailing musicdistribution.contact@gmail.com. We will respond to requests in accordance with applicable law.

6. Data sharing and disclosures

We do not sell or rent personal information. We may disclose personal data to:

  • Service providers engaged to operate the Site (hosting, email delivery). These providers process data on our behalf and under our instructions.
  • Competent government authorities, courts or law enforcement when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
  • Third parties if you explicitly request or authorize such sharing.

7. Security

We take commercially reasonable measures to protect data in transit and at rest. However, no internet transmission is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security; by using the Contact Us form you accept this inherent risk. If you need to send highly sensitive information, contact us first via the email address above and we will advise secure alternatives where feasible.

8. Cookies and tracking

This Site is primarily static. We do not use third-party tracking for Contact Us messages as a default. If we add analytics or tracking services, we will disclose them here and provide users opt-out instructions. Browser cookies used only for essential functionality are exempt from opt-in in most jurisdictions.

9. Children

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child under the applicable age limit has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

10. International transfers

Contact messages may be processed by service providers or personnel located outside your country. Where applicable, we will take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards for international transfers (e.g., standard contractual clauses) or comply with local legal requirements.

11. DMCA / Copyright concerns

If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to musicdistribution.contact@gmail.com including:

  • A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
  • A description of the location of the infringing material on the Site (URL);
  • Your contact information (name, email, mailing address);
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; and
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner, followed by your electronic signature (name).

We will respond promptly and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to infringing material. This is a private-site process; if you require a DMCA agent named for compliance with U.S. law, please indicate that in your message.

12. Your rights and how to contact us

To exercise your data rights (access, correction, deletion, portability), or for privacy questions, email musicdistribution.contact@gmail.com. We will verify requests to protect privacy and respond in accordance with applicable law.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy with a new “Last updated” date. Significant changes will be highlighted on the Site where practicable.

Note: This policy is informational and does not constitute legal advice. For legal obligations tailored to your circumstances or jurisdiction, consult a qualified attorney.
